UMBRELLAedible Membership Agreement

Overview & Acceptance

UMBRELLAedible is an open recipe platform where anyone can read recipes without login. To publish recipes, users must apply as a Verified Chef. By submitting the Chef Application Form, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Membership Policies, our Code of Conduct, and Privacy Policy. Applications are stored securely in Firebase under umbrellaedible → chef_applications.

Eligibility Criteria

• Applicant must be 18 years of age or older.
• Open to all skill levels: Home Cooks, Bakers, Professional Chefs, Food Bloggers, and Culinary Students.
• Must provide valid full name, email, phone, and location.
• One verified account per individual. Duplicate or impersonating profiles will be permanently rejected.

Chef Verification Tiers

HOME COOK— Passionate individuals cooking at home with original recipes.

PROFESSIONAL— Chefs working in restaurants, cloud kitchens, catering, or culinary education.

FOUNDER TEAM— Core curators selected internally. This tier cannot be requested.

Verified Badge is awarded only after manual review of your sample recipe, photo originality, and profile.

Recipe & Content Policy

✓ All recipes, ingredients, steps, and photos must be your original work.
✗ Copy-pasted content from YouTube, Instagram, blogs, or AI-generated recipes are strictly prohibited.
✓ Photos must be self-clicked, minimum 800px, clearly visible.
— You retain full ownership. By publishing, you grant UMBRELLAedible a non-exclusive license to display, format for SEO, and promote your recipe.

Instagram & Profile

If provided, your Instagram must be public and food-focused. Inactive accounts (90+ days), fake followers, or non-food spam may result in profile pause or removal.

Code of Conduct

• No hate speech, harassment, or abuse.
• No alcohol, tobacco, or illegal substance promotion.
• No spam, MLM, or paid promotions without approval.
• Respect originality — do not copy fellow chefs.

7. Membership Fee & Benefits

Membership is currently 100% Free. Verified Chefs receive: Verified Badge, Blogger Author invite to publish unlimited recipes, and a public profile on every recipe. Future premium features, if any, will be communicated with 30 days prior notice.

8. Termination & Removal

We reserve the right to suspend or remove any chef profile if: (a) Policies are violated, (b) 3+ valid community reports are received, (c) False information is provided, or (d) Copyrighted content is detected. You may request account deletion anytime by emailing abhishek007g32@gmail.com with subject “Delete My Chef Profile”.

9. Privacy Policy

We store only what you submit: Name, Email, Phone, Location, Chef Bio, Recipe content, and Photo URLs. Data is stored securely on Google Firebase (umbrellaedible). We never sell or publicly display your email/phone. Your email is used only for verification and approval updates. You have the right to request data access or deletion as per applicable Indian IT laws.

10. Disclaimer

UMBRELLAedible is a community listing and publishing platform. We do not guarantee orders, monetary earnings, or professional opportunities. All recipes are user-generated. Users are advised to verify allergies, nutritional information, and food safety before cooking.
